Salus’ total solution is embodied in a comprehensive and practical fire and life safety plan (FLS Plan) that incorporates several components of an FLS ecosystem that each plays a critical role in protecting people and property. The Salus FLS Plan will bring all these components into the company and make sure that each one works toward making the office environment safe for people, property, and the business.
The Salus FLS Plan starts with the workplace. It’s a fact that compliance with fire, electrical, building, and life safety codes and standards – and ensuring on-going inspection, testing, and maintenance of acilities and safety systems – reduce deaths, injuries, and losses resulting from building fires.
And then, the people in the building – who work and visit there – must know how to respond properly and in timely manner to any emergency. This can only happen if the people working in the office are trained, and continually re- trained, to respond correctly and promptly. Additionally, visitors must know what they are supposed to do through voice communications, digital displays, and visible signages.
Like any good plan, there has to be a clear articulation of the objectives and a thorough assessment of the FLS risks – current and potential – in the facility. The Salus FLS Plan will outline and detail the necessary responses to the observed risks.
